AIC C 001/2013 - Effective 11 Feb 2013
CESSNA 100 AND 200 SERIES AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM REVISION

1. GENERAL

Maintenance of every aircraft is carried out in accordance with a DCA approved maintenance program. This approved maintenance program must be based on instructions for continuing airworthiness (i.e. Service Manuals etc.) issued by the type certificate holder (in most cases this refers to the manufacturer).

2. THE REQUIREMENT

EASA Part M states that each aircraft owner shall review the maintenance program periodically and amend it accordingly when necessary. These reviews shall ensure, among other requirements that the program continues to be valid in light of revised maintenance instructions promulgated by the type certificate holder.
The DCA has noticed that Cessna 100 and 200 series aircraft owners have not submitted for approval maintenance program amendments to cover the latest Service Manual Revisions brought forward by Cessna in late 2011 and during 2012. Failure to update the maintenance program in due time will render the maintenance program invalid, ultimately invalidating the Certificate of Airworthiness. A total of 28 aircraft on the Cyprus Register are affected.
All affected aircraft owners are required to submit their amended maintenance programs for approval, as soon as possible but in any case not later than the end of April 2013. These amendments must be submitted to the DCA Airworthiness Section. Once these amendments have been approved, maintenance of the affected aircraft will continue based on the new program.
